Detax Services was established in 2008 by David Elliott to provide affordable specialist Tax, Accounting & other Business Services to the Entertainment & Arts Industries.

Prior to 2008, David was employed & self-employed in various Entertainment Industry roles. Starting out as a novice but enthusiastic Sound guy for a mate’s band in the late 80’s he went on to obtain his Audio Engineering qualification at the legendary JMC Academy.

In 1990 David purchased a Sound Studio in Sydney’s Western Suburbs. Around this time, David also completed studies in Music Business Management & became involved in Artist Management. After years of studio renovations, hard work & countless nights of sleep deprivation he sold the transformed studio in 1996. Following the sale of the Studio he continued working as a freelance Audio Engineer & became a Stage Manager at Sydney Casino & later, Star City Casino [Now the Star].

All this experience has enabled David to gain invaluable knowledge and understanding of a broad range of Entertainment industry occupations, this enables him to best maximise your tax deductions and ensure you are claiming all you are entitled to claim.
